Blood flower. An erect, evergreen perennial subshrub often grown as an annual. The leaves are about 5 inches long, narrowly elliptic and pointed at both ends. Clusters of red and yellow flowers will appear from spring to fall. Asclepias will grow up to 3 feet tall with an equal spread, making it a good choice for border plantings. Hardy to 20F. Asclepias curassavica is available this week in #1 containers.
